In the wilderness of jazz excursions pointing in all directions, there's one concept, that never leads you astray: The True Groove, and what lies ahead of you in this, one of a kind, concert is pure groove with the grooviest of the groovy.
The Social Mambo Explosion is a summit of the ultimate Cubanos in town stirred up with a syndicated hitman and good vibes provider. i.e. the hardest grooving macho performers ever to come out of the Barrios of Copenhagen.
There you have it!! Mambo and Boogaloo for your leisure.

Den sprængfarlige kvartet, “Social Mambo Explosion”, leverer med stor indlevelse en medrivende og inciterende musikalsk oplevelse med inspiration i west-coast latin jazz scenen i 1950-60’ernes Californien. Dengang var vibrafonen et populært instrument indenfor latinjazz genren, eksponeret ved bl.a. Cal Tjader, Dave Pike, Victor Feldman, Emil Richards og Bobby Hutcherson. Alle samarbejdede med eminente musikere, der var kommet til USA fra latinamerika - særligt cubanske musikere som f.eks. Mongo Santamaria, Willie Bobo og Armando Peraza var markante skikkelser, men også pianisterne Vince Guaraldi og Eddie Palmieri strålede… mambofeberen rasede!I Danmark er vi også så heldige at have vores andel af cubanere, og en dansk vibrafonist der har kastet sin kærlighed på netop denne genre, så med dette velkommen til “Social Mambo Explosion” bestående af :
