Organ Sound Art Festival 2019 – A New Sound of an Old Instrument
Organ Sound Art Festival er en 2-dages musik-, lydkunst-, og performancefestival i KoncertKirken på Blågårds Plads, der finder sted fra d. 15-16. juni 2019.
En række danske, nordiske og internationale kunstnere vil præsentere værker, der tager udgangspunkt i kirkens romantiske hovedorgel (Marcussen, 1926), og kirkens særlige rum og akustik.
Festivalen har som udgangspunkt en pluralistisk forståelse af orgelmusik, der åbner for, at orgelmusikken kan være traditionsbåret og ekstremt moderne på samme tid. Religiøse konnotationer og profane konceptuelle, lydlige eksperimenter. Fra præ-Bach stykker over Henning Christiansens fluxyle orgel-requiem til Kali Malones massive overtonerige droner.

OM FESTIVALEN: Organ Sound Art Festival har fundet sted hvert år siden 2016, og produceres af KoncertKirkens daglige leder Björn Ross og i år i tæt samarbejder med de to kunstneriske ledere Jan Høgh Stricker og Steffen Levring.
