Navnet Oscar Danielson vækker måske ikke genklang hos alle danskere. Men det skal man ikke lade sig snyde af. Oscar Danielson er et etableret navn på den nordiske musikscene og har et betydeligt værk bag sig i form af både et forfatterskab og en række albumudgivelser.
Oscar Danielson debuterede i 1996 med albummet Schysst & populär. Det egentlige gennembrud fik han med opfølgeren Gitarren är mit svärd fra 1998, og siden er der udkommet flere albums. I nullerne udgav Oscar Danielson flere romaner sideløbende med karrieren som musiker og sangskriver. Mest kendt er han for sangen ‘Besvärjelse’, som har streamet over 3 millioner gange på Spotify.
Herhjemme har han gennem årene opbygget en loyal fanskare. Danielson har f.eks. været æresmedlem af spillestedet Forbrændingens bestyrelse og spillet på stedet en gang årligt i en lang årrække.
Danielson er netop nu aktuel med singlen "Et rimligt sätt" fra sit kommende syvende album ‘'Det här kan bli året som jag faller', der udgives 17. januar 2020.
