Med baggrund i udviklingen af Corona-smitte, er arrangementet aflyst. Vi kontakter jer omkring redundering af billetter. Foredraget bliver flyttet til et senere tidspunkt.
"Sandheden om de hvide busser", handler om de dramatiske aktioner der i vinteren 1944 og foråret 1945 fik transporteret over 20.000 fanger fra de tyske koncentrationslejre til sikkerhed i Sverige og Danmark.
Det er historien om de reddede og deres redningsmænd. I foredraget tager vi udgangspunkt i baggrunden for redningsaktion af de danske og norske kz-fanger, og den generelle situationen i Tyskland i vinteren 1944-1945. Vi vil primært sætte fokus på de danske initiativer og de personer, der blev centrale for den danske indsats.
For de fanger, der så de hvide busser trille op foran lejren, var følelsen og taknemmeligheden ubeskrivelig. En tidligere fange, der senere udgav en bog om sine erindringer, kaldte sigende overskriften – ”Reddet fra ragnarok”.
