Description
Vi tager turen Frederiksholm, et ukendt kvarter i det gamle København. Her ligger gamle kaserne og palæer side om side med moderne arkitektur.
En gang var det vand, med Christian IV bryghus som nærmeste nabo, men efter Svenskernes angreb gik over isen, opstod kvarteret med militære anlæg, men også med adelige og andre beboere med gode forbindelser. I tidens løb har det været det lille kvarter i skyggen af Christiansborg, lidt uden for det offentlige søgelys. Det er også selv om der ligge store institutioner som Nationalmuseet og Blox.
Her er flotte og velbevarede bygninger fra barokken og frem til det sene 1800-tal. Vi ser dem og hører om deres beboere.
Til sidst krydser vi Stormgade, og følger historien til dørs over Vandkunsten og frem til Domhuset og Caritas Springvandet.
