”En vision, en uendelig nat af drømme, en personlig historie fyldt med glæder og dæmoner”. Sådan beskriver Tashi Wada sit nyeste album ”Nue”, der er udgivet på det toneangivende Brooklyn-baserede pladeselskab RVNG Intl. Albummet er blevet skabt i samarbejde med Roskilde Festival aktuelle multi-instrumentalist og komponist Julia Holter, perkussionisten Corey Fogel (som begge er med live denne aften) samt Wadas far, fluxus-kunstner og komponist Yoshi Wada.
Gruppen vil denne aften fremføre albummet, hvor eksperimenterende dronemusik blandes med forskellige akustiske instrumenter, som blandt andet tæller Tashi Wadas fortolkning af faderens minimalistiske sækkepibespil. Denne blanding skaber en lyd der både formår at virke futuristisk og oprindelig, på én og samme tid. Gå ikke glip af denne helt særlige aften, hvor Wadas simple og rene kompositioner – i samspil med Julia Holter og Corey Fogel – vil frembringe rige soniske verdener fyldt med uventede effekter.

Tashi Wada is a Los Angeles-based composer and performer whose works explore harmonic overtones, resonance, and dissonance through precise tuning and gradual change in pitch. Grounded in a belief that “music should be as direct as possible,” his compositions use apparently simple structures to generate rich and unanticipated perceptual effects. At this concert, Tashi Wada presents his new group featuring Julia Holter and percussionist Corey Fogel performing music from Wada's new album “Nue” (RVNG Intl, 2018).
