Årets Bellmanfortolker på Selsø er den svenske sanger og guitarist, Thord Lindé. Han har igennem sin musikalske karriere bevæget sig indenfor forskellige genrer, blandt andet fra opera til jazz og folkemusik.
Aftenens koncert byder på lige dele teater og sang. Thord Lindé optræder i tidstro 1700-talstøj og lammeskindsparyk og vil gennem musikken vise publikum Bellmans mange tekstlige facetter og skarpe skildring af sin samtid på en moderne måde.
Thord Lindé fortæller om forestillingen:
”I forestillingen møder vi ”Sankt” Fredman, forhenværende urmager, der nu er i tjeneste hos Bacchus – som brændevinsapostel! Betænk hans saliggørende prædikner, bliv forført af hans lyrik, begræd hans smerte og grin af hans drabelige humor! Vi vil også møde fader Movitz i dennes mest famlende forsøg på at agere elsker; fader Berg fumlende på sin violin; og Ulla Winblad, Frejas smukke tjenerinde – i ordensmagtens klør!”
