Torsdag på taget

Nyd sommeren på Glyptotekets tagterrasse, når vi gentager succesen og inviterer til Torsdag på taget. Tag dine venner med til læskende drikke, lækre snacks og skiftende indslag i uformelle rammer med en uovertruffen udsigt over København.

Arkitektur-talk
I dag er vi ganske godt tilfredse med Glyptotekets placering ved siden af Tivoli i centrum af København. Sådan havde Carl Jacobsen det langt fra, da museet skulle opføres. Han truede med at flytte hele sin samling til Skotland, hvis han ikke fik en bedre byggegrund. Det gjorde han heldigvis ikke alvor af.

Lyt med, når vores dygtige formidler med afsæt i udstillingen Bag Facaden – Opdag Glyptotekets arkitektur, løfter sløret for nogle af museets hidtil ufortalte historier, og gør os klogere på udsigten ud over Københavns tage.

Med i billetten får du:

• Entré til museet, der gælder til alle udstillinger hele dagen
• Mini arkitektur-talk
• Krydrede popcorn
• Glyptotekets egen økologiske øl OASE eller en alkoholfri hjemmelavet limonade

Det er selvfølgelig muligt at tilkøbe drikkevarer og snacks på aftenen med et dejligt udvalg af vin, øl, limonader og drinks.

På aftenen kan du opleve de nyåbnede særudstillinger Bag Facaden – Opdag Glyptotekets arkitektur og Abbas Akhavan – Curtain Call samt den anmelderroste Amarna – Solgudens by.

Hvornår
Du er velkommen på terrassen fra kl. 17.30. Talken starter kl. 18 og varer ca. 15 minutter. Men du er velkommen til at komme, når det passer dig.

OBS. I tilfælde af regnvejr rykkes torsdagsbaren ned under palmerne i Vinterhaven.

Årskortholder: 125 kr.
Almindelig billet: 250 kr.
Under 27 år/studerende: 220 kr.
Under 18 år: 125 kr.

Billetter refunderes ikke, men må gerne gives videre.
Billetter kan ikke byttes til en anden dato.

Torsdagsret i caféen
Hver torsdag serverer museets café, Picnic, en velkomponeret torsdagsret, som kan nydes i caféen ved Vinterhaven. Har du spørgsmål til menuen, så kontakt picnic@glyptoteket.dk

Adgangsforhold
Der er elevator op til tagterrassen, men der er yderligere ti trin op til baren. Arrangementet er som udgangspunkt stående, og der er kun begrænsede antal siddepladser på tagterrassen.

ROOFTOP THURSDAYS

It’s summer in Copenhagen. Join us for delicious drinks and snacks at the Glyptotek’s rooftop. Bring your friends and enjoy the summer in an informal setting with a supreme view of the Copenhagen skyline.

Architecture talk

Today we are quite satisfied with the Glyptotek's position next to Tivoli in the center of Copenhagen. But this was far from how founder Carl Jacobsen felt when the museum was to be built. Back then it was the outskirts of Copenhagen in a swamp area. He threatened to move his entire collection to Scotland if he didn’t get a better building site. Fortunately, he didn't go through with it, and here we are!

Based on the exhibition Behind the Facade – Discover the Architecture of the Glyptotek, the evenings host will lift the veil on some of the museum's hitherto untold stories and enlighten you on the view over Copenhagen's rooftops.

*Please note that the talk is in Danish. The host is available for questions in English after the talk.

• Entrance to the museum, valid for all exhibitions throughout the day

• Architecture talk

• Tasty spicy popcorn

• The Glyptotek's own organic beer OASE or an alcohol-free homemade lemonade

It is of course possible to buy additional drinks, we have a nice selection of wine, beer, lemonades and drinks. The Museum Café, Picnic also serves a delicious Thursday meal and cake.

You can also experience the newly opened exhibitions ABBAS AKHAVAN – curtain call, Behind the Facade - Discover the Architecture of the Glyptotek and the critically acclaimed Amarna – City of the Sun God.

When?

You are welcome on the terrace from 5.30 pm.

The talk starts at 6 pm and lasts approx. 15 minutes. But you are welcome to come when it suits you.

ATTENTION In case of rain, the Thursday bar is moved down under the palm trees in the Winter Garden.

Tickets are not refundable but may be passed on.
Tickets cannot be exchanged for another date.

Thursday’s special menu in the café

Danish free-range calf or portobello confit, glazed in beer and honey served with creamy barley and steamed cabbage with young shoots and herbs. Bread and whipped butter.

Price 195 DKK.

Including a glass of beer from the tap, 255 DKK.

Access conditions

There is a lift to the roof terrace, but there are another ten steps up to the bar. The event is mainly standing, and there is only a limited number of seats on the roof terrace.
