Digteren og fotografen C. Y. Frostholm præsenterer med Træmuseet en usædvanlig og omfattende essayfortælling: en spontant fremvokset hybridtekst om at opleve natur og litteratur – og skrive om det. Bogen bringer læseren på en rejse på sporet af forfattere som Fernando Pessoa og Francis Ponge og inviterer samtidig til en række møder i ord og billeder med konkrete træer i Danmark og rundt i verden.
De fragmentariske og forgrenede optegnelser om forfatterskaber, kærlighed, køn, diversitet, planter og planetens overlevelse, og om at være en person på jorden, gør bogen til et originalt bidrag til samtidslitteraturen såvel som til et engageret kampskrift for en ny slags opmærksomhed. Ikke mindst på
det ikke-menneskelige, i vores antropocæne tidsalder.
C. Y. Frostholm (f. 1963) er forfatter og billedkunstner og har udgivet poesi og prosa siden 1985. Senest bl.a. Det værste der kunne ske (2018), Kalender
for natten (2016) og Selvportræt med dyr (2011). Træmuseet er hans hidtil største bogudgivelse, virkelig et magnum opus.
