Engelsk whisky vs skotsk whisky:
Skal det være engelsk eller skotsk whisky? Mange vil nok umiddelbart rynke på næsen, og vælge ”det sikre valg” – men denne aften skal vi smage 6 whiskies – 3 engelske sat op mod 3 skotske. Og i den sidste runde (den røgede) er der faktisk en lille gimmick mere. De er begge destilleret af samme person, nemlig Ian Henderson, der i en menneskealder var destillerimanager på Laphroaig destilleriet på Islay. Da han gik på pension derfra, blev han meget hurtigt shanghajet til Edradour Distillery i Pitlochry, hvor han startede produktionen af Ballechin. Og da han efter nogle år sluttede der, tog han turen til England, hvor han hjalp St. George Distillery / The English Whisky i gang – og også her lavede en røget udgave!
Så der er lagt op til en landskamp mellem England og Skotland! Hvem vinder – og lykkes det os at ”overbevise” deltagerne i smagningen om, at engelsk whisky kan have mindst lige så gode kvaliteter som de skotske gyldne dråber?
Vi skal gennem 3 runder med hård konkurrence fra hver sit ringhjørne (forbehold for ændringer):- The English Original 43% - op mod Glenfiddich XX 47%
- The English “Norfolk 60,6% (aftappet af DMWA) op mod Aberlour Single cask 56,6% (aftappet af DMWA)
- The English Smokey 43% op mod Ballechin 46% 10 års
Vil du have lidt at spise inden smagningen? Køb en billet, der dækker både mad og smagning, og start med Highlanders Bars Chicken Marsala eller Chili con Carne (NB: serveres kl 18). Drikkevarer efter eget valg kan tilkøbes på stedet.

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
